Disney California Adventure just started their Halloween celebration yesterday and the new Water and Lights show was uploaded on YouTube.

I know it’s OOC and aimed towards a younger audience, but I LOVE THIS????? I’m still baffled of the sudden Oogie Boogie craze, but this just made me smile. The animation is great, humor is good, and Ken Page’s voice in this is outstanding!

School of Magic RP Reboot: Nanami

Name: Nanami Momozono
Age: 17
Species: Human
Powers: None
Occupation: Student at Arcane Magia Academy, Owner of Lunaville Shrine, and Onmyoji in Training
Personality: Nanami is a kind, gentle, and understanding girl who is determined to do her best despite all the odds against her. She cares for those around her and she would do anything to make sure everything is right. Even though she gets into trouble and would cry when things get hard or someone is in pain, she picks herself up and thinks outside the box to solve the problem. She loves getting to know new people and study hard in order to serve and protect the ones she cares about.
History: Nanami was born with no magic, living in Japan nearby her single father and her mother passed away when she was a young girl. She would usually take care of the apartment and go to school to make ends meet while her father went out to gamble. He had gambled so much, he accumulated a lot of debt in her name and the debt collectors kicked her out of her apartment. One night while sitting on a bench in a park, she came across a man named Mikage and helped him. As thanks for her kindness, Mikage offered to give her his home in a town named Lunaville where there was an academy there to continue her studies. Very grateful, Nanami accepted this and traveled there with Mikage's help.
When she arrived in Lunaville and followed the address Mikage gave her, Nanami was surprised to find a shrine instead of a house. There, she met two small house spirits and a kitsune named Tomoe who were the temporary owners of the shrine. The yokai told her that the previous owner of the shrine had left and promised that the next onmyoji would be the new owner. Not accepting this, Tomoe left to the forest. After the initial shock, Nanami took it in stride and promised to take care of the shrine as best she can by making sure it's clean and that people could go to pray or give out charms. She went to the forest to look for Tomoe and convince him to come back, only to run across one of the large creatures there. While getting chased, Nanami made a contract with Tomoe as her familiar to summon whenever she needs help. With the help of a harpy named Kazuaki who was in the forest at the time, the two managed to defeat the creature. Kazuaki then reccommended Nanami to apply to Arcane Magia Academy.
With an annoyed Tomoe staying at the shrine and starting her new school year at Arcane, Nanami is eager to help the Shrine and learn what it means to become an onmyoji.

Personality: Seven is a quiet boy who usually keeps to himself. He rarely talks aloud, preferring to write or sign. If he does talk, it's not above a whisper or murmur. He cares for his peers and the creatures he comes across, always willing to lend a hand or step in if need be. He also tends to be curious and figure things out on his own. Although he is wary of adults, he is comfortable around people in his age range and the different creatures he encounters. Slowly, he's learning to open up and trust adults more.
History: Seven barely remembers his family let alone his birth name. Most of his earliest memories were him out in the wilderness before being taken by a mysteriously cloaked stranger to a large ship. There, children of all different backgrounds and sizes were given numbers and got locked up in cages to be food or playthings for the giant beings who were passengers on the ship. For Seven and the rest of the children, escape seemed impossible. One day, Seven saw a little girl in a yellow raincoat running around the ship, trying to escape. Inspired with a new sense of hope, Seven managed to run away and find his own way out. He at first tried to convince the others to join him, but none would follow him, so he went on his own. There were many trials along the way, but Seven managed not to eaten by giant monsters and eventually met up with the girl. The girl called herself Six and she planned to escape in order to see what the world was like outside the dreary metal walls of the giant ship. Seven agreed to go with her.
The two children went together to the heart of the ship when they came across a giant woman in a kimono who was the owner of the ship. Enraged that the children escaped, she knocked out Seven, turned him into a little creature called a Nome, then chased Six into a dark room with mirrors. After coming to and the initial shock of the transformation wearing off, Seven followed the two into the room, only to witness Six defeating the woman and biting her neck. Seven was about to run away when Six stopped him, explaining to him that she and the woman had a history and that she absorbed the woman's powers. She turned him back into a human boy and the two children escaped the ship, the passengers succumbing to Six's new power. They went on a lifeboat with provisions and headed out to sea, deciding on what to do or think later once they reached land.
However, a large storm appeared almost a day after, causing the raft to break and Six and Seven to separate. Seven was tossed into the waves until he washed up along the shores of Lunaville beach at night. A demon named Alastor found him and took him to Arcane Magia Academy. There, Seven was quiet and wary of the adults there, but calmed down when he felt the warmth of some of the teachers and the headmistress Isabelle. A teacher suggested putting him into the orphanage, but Seven declined with the memories of his time at the ship still haunting him. It was then decided that Seven would stay and become a student at the academy with Alastor keeping an eye on him from time to time.
Now at a new place and world before him, Seven has hopes to have a better life in Lunaville and learn about the world and beings around him. Yet, he cannot help but wonder about the whereabouts of Six, what happened with the ship, and exactly what to think about what transpired during his time as a prisoner.

Powers: Superhuman Strength and Power Mimicry
Occupation: Owner and Instructor of The Fitness Dojo
Personality: Carol is a kind and friendly woman who has an authority around her, but is always eager to help out or teach someone. She believes in educating her students at the dojo and her son in important life lessons. She may be rough sometimes and gets enraged when someone insults or bothers her son, but she's sympathetic to those around her and is optimistic when learning about improving herself as a person and as a single mother.
History: During her youth, Carol always looked up to her parents and wanted to help others in any way she could. Inheriting her powers from her parents, she studied and trained hard until she decided to join P.O.I.N.T. (Powerful Operatives Investigating and Neutralizing Trouble). P.O.I.N.T. was a group of magic-users who traveled to different places helping those in need while defeating those who want to harm others. Eager to be on a collaborating team, Carol had met good friends and a few love interests along the way.
One night, however, became disastrous when during a mission, one of her teammates named Laserblast went to investigate some danger in an abandoned shop and the shop suddenly exploded and disappeared with no trace of Laserblast. Devastated, the group disbanded and went their separate ways. At first, Carol did not know what to do with her life, blaming herself for Laserblast's death. A month or so later, she found out that she was pregnant. With new resolve, Carol promised to continue helping people and settle down in order to provide for her new child. After KO was born, Carol searched for a new place to start over until she discovered Lunaville. Seeing that it was a good environment for both magic and non-magic users, she decided to open up a Fitness Dojo to help others train to be their best. For most of KO's childhood, Carol home-schooled him until she heard of Arcane Magia Academy and decided to let him go there to learn.
Although she has faith in both her son and the school, Carol has a few worries of her child growing up, specifically her son's new persona, TKO. Thinking of it as a phase or a spell gone wrong at first, she can't help but worry of the future to come and if TKO should emerge again.

He likes keeping himself as a mystery to others and staying unpredictable, delighting in the element of surprise. As a radio host, he ups his charm and is eager to entertain. Despite his smile and politeness, Alastor can resort to something dark if he’s pushed to the edge.
History: Before he was a demon, Alastor had a full name and was a radio host in New Orleans. By day, he would host his regular radio show, but by night, he practiced voodoo in the swamps and partook in nightly outings with a gang of Magic users, enjoying their company and being a part of something. One night, he was pursued by hunters and ran to the gang for help, only to be double crossed and shot dead in 1933. When he died, he fell down to Hell and turned into a deer demon as punishment for his sins.
When he arrived in Hell, Alastor had possessed raw power that most demons have never seen before along with the pent up aggressions of his past life and the recent feelings of deceit and betrayal. He used that power to overthrow some powerful demons in a fit of rage and broadcasted it for everyone to listen to. Overtime, he leveled up in rank and reveled in his new position as a radio demon, but secretly missed his old life as a radio host learning new things every day.
For years, Alastor was one of the top demons in his area until he was apprehended by demons that were up to his level. To punish him, they reduced his power and exiled him out of Hell back onto the surface to let him roam with the mortals.
